Halnn CBN insert Finish Turning Bearings with GCr15 Materials BN-H11 CBN Cutting Tools
GCr15 Bearing is one of the common hardened parts.Halnn superhard is the manufacturer of producing cbn inserts, we have many customers on hard turning GCr15 bearings,and know well on these problems.So Halnn will share all the manufacturers that how to finish turning GCr15 bearings.
There are the following problems on finish turning GCr15 bearings after communicated with our customers:
1.High hardness, the insert not wear
2.Change the insert frequently to make sure the precision,leading the low efficiency, high processing costs.
The hardness of the GCr15 which will be finish turning usually is above HRC50 ,such as the hardness of the metallurgy bearing will arrive HRC62.For these superhard workpiece,the cbn inserts will be the most suitable. At first,many manufacturers will choose carbide insert,but they can not get the reasonable performance. The reasons is that the hardness of the carbide inserts is not high,the insert itself will be not wear,they need to change the insert frequently.
The hardness of cbn inserts are about HRC98.5,and it can work normally in high temperature condition ,is the best cutting tools on machining ferrous metal field. Specific to GCr15 bearings ,cbn inserts are the best choice .Especially Halnn researched non-metal adhesive BN-H11 and BN-S20 CBN inserts has better performance than other famous brand ceramic insert and carbide insert ,such as Seco, Sandvik and Kyocera brand inserts.
