Hardened Steel is hard steel through heat treating ,also called quenched steel ,and the hardness after quenching will above HRC50,and will be hard to machining.

A. High hardness,strength ,and nearly have no plastic:
This is the main characters,when the hardened steel hardness arrive HRC50~60,the strength will arrive 2100~2600 MPa, so it belongs to the most difficult to machining materials .
B.Large cutting force,high cutting temperature
The cutting force need to arrive 4500 MPa,in order to improve the cutting conditions,add the surface which used for release heat,we need choose small cutting angle,and it also need the cutting inserts have good rigidity.
C.Not easy to appear cutting chips
