China Import Metal-working Machine Increased 29.4%

In the first half of 2014, China import metal-working machine totaled 49,569 sets, which increased 29.4% on year-on-year basis. Import amount was 49.46 hundred million dollars, the fall decreased by 5.2%. Import unit price has declined to 99,800 dollars per set.

In April, China import metal-working machine was 9247 sets, import amount was 8.05 hundred million dollars. In May, there were 11228 imported sets, import amount was 8.77 hundred million dollars. In June, the number was 11187 sets, import amount was 10.26 hundred million dollars. This month the import amount was close to the peak in a year and a half, the import unit price was 91,700 dollars.

According to iAbrasive, China metal working machine import quantity has increased from 4,500 sets in February to over 11,000 sets in June. Import quantity has increased 1.5 times, and import amount has increased 70%. In recent months, China import metal working machine has risen perpendicularly, far exceeding the amount before.

In general, multiple statistics show that since April, China machine tool market has walked out of the low ebb and entered a fast-developing period. Various industries such as smart phone manufacturing industry have larger demands towards high cost-effective machine tool. However, analysts have little idea about how long the period can last, it is predicted that it is likely to end soon.
