Founded in 1998, Henan HengXin Industrial & Mineral Products Co., Ltd. is the biggest black fused alumina manufacturer in China whose output accounts for 70% of China total black fused alumina output. HengXin is the only black fused alumina manufacturer in China that adopts dumping furnace to smelt black fused alumina. It is with independent R & D advantage that HengXin has achieved its leading position in China black fused alumina. Yang said, "Those who succeed within the industry have a lot to do with its input in labor, material, financial resources and end users. Compared with brown fused alumina, black fused alumina sells at a good price and the raw material cost is lower. However, while many manufacturers tried smelting black fused alumina, they failed because wrong production pattern. Seen from surface, black fused alumina smelting cost is low, but actually there is little available.

According to Yang, at present the black fused alumina produced by Hengxin is mainly used in polishing, sandblasting, resin grinding wheel manufacturing, road surface skid resistance, etc.

Keep up with the Trend to Transform

With company developing, market situation, internal management, resources and cultural environment will change. All the changes require a company to transform. On the contrary, it fails. Therefore, Yang said, "usually many companies put most energy in production, management, finance and sales, but what if a product has lost its market?"

Hengxin has learned that in the long run, black fused alumina to replace brown fused alumina is an inevitable trend. There are three things to do: first, environmental protection during black fused alumina production process; second, brown fused alumina smelting needs high class alumina, which is not abundant, while black fused alumina does not need high class alumina; third, black fused alumina do not consume too much electricity, at the same time, the carbon emission is small, in accordance with government policy.
