Zhangshi Abrasives Development Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter refers to as Zhangshi Abrasives) is located in Xinyi city, the north of Jiangsu Province. Since 1988, Zhangshi Abrasives has began to manufacturing resin coated abrasives. It is one of the three abrasives manufacturers in China who have engaged in producing coated abrasives at the earliest time. When White Dove Group Responsible Co., Ltd and Shanghai Grinding Wheel introduced assembly line, Zhangshi Abrasives kept up with them. 

To Zhangshi Abrasives, 1999 was a turning point. At that time, President Zhang Gang heard that, Wuhan Abrasives Factory introduced production line of Italy IMT in 1993, which took more than twenty experts one and half years to install and set up that equipment. In 1997, Wuhan Abrasives Factory went bankrupt because of institution issues. Relying on his acute vision, Zhang Gang immediately got touch with Wuhan Abrasives Factory and bought that set of production line. At that moment, other abrasives manufacturers could not understand why he choose to buy that machine. In the following time, what Zhangshi Abrasives brought was another shock. With strong wills and indomitable spirit, President Zhang and his employees spend seven moths in workshop to test that equipment. Finally, they achieved success which indicated that Zhangshi Abrasives completed a turning point. At that time, man-made plank industry needed a large amount of wide sanding belts. Zhangshi grasped that opportunity to develop the market. Nowadays, Zhangshi Abrasives has been dominant in that sector.

When comes to the survival and development of abrasives manufacturers, president Zhang has his own understanding, “in the fierce and greatly changing competitive environment, credibility and innovation are passports. ” Therefore, Zhangshi Abrasives set up high strong fiber super-hard abrasive cloth & abrasives engineering research center and new product quality inspection center. They also hired experts from Korea, Shanghai and Henan, which provides technology innovation for enterprise development." “Daring to explore and owning innovation spirit ” has become a standard to their recruitment. 

For the purpose of sustainable development, Zhangshi Abrasives brought foreign advanced technology and expand product categories continuously. At present, their products includes, hard cloth backing, soft cloth backing and paper backing, and cloth backing can be divided into synthetic polyester cloth, blending fabric and cotton cloth with heavy, medium and light three types; soft cloth can be classified into abrasive belt cloth and hand tear cloth; while, abrasive paper includes E and F types. At the same time, all their new products have three types of grains, namely aluminum oxide, silicon carbide and zirconia oxide. 

In 2003, Zhangshi Abrasives passed he ISO9001:2000 quality management system certification, and got through the ISO9001:2003 quality management system certification in 2008. Currently, Zhangshi Abrasives has become a standing committee of national coated abrasives association. Their products, such as resin sanding belts, nanometer silicon dioxide resin abrasive cloth, high strength polyester cloth, and soft finishing abrasive cloth are rewarded as “Jiangsu Province High and New Technology Products” . 

When expand domestic market, at the beginning of establishment, Zhangshi Abrasives started to develop overseas market. Through nearly ten years effort, Zhangshi Abrasives’ products have exported to over twenty countries and region, involving developed countries, developing countries or even less developed countries. Their goal is that attempting to expand in developed countries, taking certain market share in developing countries and control abrasives market in less developed countries. Attributed to their strategy, Zhangshi Abrasives was not impacted much in 2008 finance crisis.
