brown fused alumina

As a special industry, the abrasives industry has encountered problems in abrasives smelting in terms of energy-saving and emission reduction. Currently, there exists an overcapacity phenomenon in China's brown fused alumina industry. With the implement of Chinese government's energy-saving and emission reduction policies, the next step is likely to be focused on eliminating the outdated capacity of the aluminum oxide industry. It is predicted that the developing trend of the abrasives industry in China will have a great influence on China's entire economic policies in the next five years.

Currently, the abrasives industry has been involved in almost all the industrial fields, ranging from aerospace industry to medical treatment and public health industry and its position is irreplaceable for the moment. China's abrasives market has experienced nearly a decade of development and the market pattern has been basically formed. Nowadays, China has become an abrasives manufacturing giant, but not a powerful nation of abrasives.

Analysts in the abrasives industry hold that to maintain a healthy and ordered development of the abrasives industry, some existing problems need to be solved: companies' production capacity is decentralized, the companies' scale is small and the economic benefit is low. At present, China's abrasives industry company scale is not very reasonable and is decentralized, some small companies still account for a larger proportion. Besides that, the abrasives companies in China are not good at the R&D of new products, so their products are mainly concentrated on middle and low-end markets. The technology content of the products is too low that many companies are highly dependent on import. As a result, the abrasives industry in China can only meet one-third of the industrial demand for the auto industry, the aerospace industry, the bearing industry, and the shipbuilding industry. The overcapacity problem is especially true when it comes to aluminum oxide production.
