Matters Needing Attention About Buffing Compound

There are some matters that need attention about how to use buffing compound. Today we will mainly talk about it from the following three aspects.

First, High hardness: The hardness of buffing compound needs to be higher than the surface hardness and toughness of polished materials, otherwise it will be difficult to achieve the grinding;

Second, Good heat resistance and thermal stability: The temperature of polishing materials will rise sharply with the high-speed rotating friction of polishing wheel in the process of polishing. The polishing temperature can reach above 120-500 degrees. If abrasive grains are easy to be dismantled, its hardness and toughness will be easy to decrease, which will affect the polishing effect.

Third, Polishing material has good stability: The good stability of polishing materials is conducive to any chemical reactions between buffing compound and polishing surface under the working temperature.  Otherwise it will affect the finish of polishing surface.

In addition to the above points we need to note, the quality of buffing compound is also very important. In the process of producing buffing compound, each kind of material need to be mixed evenly, so that people can make high quality buffing compound. It is also very important that buffing compound also has expiration date, so people must use them out within the shelf life of buffing compound. It can guarantee the quality of polishing products, and avoid unnecessary problems in the process of polishing.
