Market Quotes of Silicon Carbide in February 2017

In February, the prices including tax of 98 black silicon carbide block materials were around 5300-5600 Yuan/ton; 97 black silicon carbide block materials around 5300-5400 Yuan/ton; 90 black silicon carbide block materials around 3700-4000 Yuan/ton in Ningxia. 

In Gansu, the prices including tax of 98 black silicon carbide block materials were around 5200-5400 Yuan/tons, and 97 black silicon carbide block materials around 5000-5300 Yuan/ton. In Ningxia and Gansu, silicon carbide deoxidizer (SiC: 75%, Particle size: 0-10mm) were sold at the prices including tax of 2600-3000 Yuan/ton. The market quotes stabilized, with little fluctuation.

Recently, we have learned that the operating rate of some key production enterprises in Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and other places is still less than 50%. Most manufacturers start the normal production on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, but there are some individual companies that are not able to start because of the problems such as environmental protection and electricity consumption. The overall situation is not optimistic, and some manufacturers think that the overseas markets look good, with low price but better payment collection.
