Ceramic products can be dated back to the Han Dynasty. After long-term development and evolution, the manufacturing process of ceramic products have been improved and formed a complete system. Grinding is an important step in the manufacturing process of ceramic products. following is basic manufacturing and grinding procedures of architectural ceramics:

1. Green brick classification. Green bricks have several sizes, such as 300*300, 600*600, 800*800, etc. An assembly line is only limited to polishing one size.
2. Distribute bricks one by one to the assembly lines mechanically.
3. Chamfer with metal diamond deburring wheels. Since the sizes of green bricks are bigger than needed, abundant sizes should be removed.
4. Usually green bricks take on different degree of deformation, so roller cutter is needed to make them smooth.
5. Medium grinding. Remove tool marks by metal diamond fickert or metal diamond grinding wheels.
6. Fine grinding. Resin silicon carbide deburring wheels or chamfering wheels will be used.
7. Final deburring and chamfering. Use a finer metal diamond deburring wheel to fix the sizes of green bricks. Then use a resin bond deburring wheel and chamfering wheel for precision grinding.
8. Polishing with felt polishing wheels, cloth wheels, and polishing pastes.
9. Polish with wax. Use wool brush to polish with wax.
10. Check to see if there are any problems.
11. Package and put into storage.

The amount of grinding products used in different architectural ceramics products are not the same. Comprehensively speaking, it takes up 8% to 20% of the entire production, which is supposed to be a huge potential market.
