Referring to design and process, Meizu has set up a good image among consumers since the launch of MP3. In Meizu's MX4 manufacturing process, CNC rough milling and CNC finishing milling are employed. In the CNC rough milling process, 21 cutting tools are needed, consuming 28 minutes; while CNC finishing milling requires 70 groups of different cutting tools, consuming 90 minutes.

To remove the milling blade cracks produced in the CNC finishing milling process, Meizu claimed that it has cooperated with the most excellent grinding mill in the world. Those who became involved in the grinding work have more than five years' experience in manual grinding and polishing. During the entire grinding and polishing process, the abrasives employed include abrasive grinding wheels, sisal wheels, and cotton wheels. 

First we use the grinding wheel to remove the blade lines, then we use the sisal wheel to move off the trace of the grinding wheel, lastly the cotton wheel is used to produce the mirror light effect. In addition, the Meizu MX4 sandblasting process employed more than 40 approaches and the sandblaster was of the highest standard within the abrasive industry. With 16 sandblasting guns working together on the surface cover, the cambered surface will have a smooth surface.

In fact, the smart phone manufacturing process is not the only one that is intimately related with the abrasive industry.
