1. Mechanical Polishing

Mechanical polishing is to rely on cutting surface plastic deformation and removing polished convex part of the smooth surface. Generally we use honing stone, felt wheel, sanding paper, sanding belt, nylon wheel, etc. Mechanical polishing is mainly done by hand, except for special parts that need auxiliary tools. High surface quality can employ ultra lapping and polishing, which adopts tailor-made abrasives in polishing liquid, pressing on the processed workpiece surface and high-speed rotating. Optical lens often use this method.

2. Chemical Polishing

Chemical polishing means to dissolve micro protruding part in chemical medium to get a smooth surface. The advantage of chemical polishing is that it does not need complicated equipment to do highly efficient job. The core of chemical polishing is polishing liquid disposition.

3. Electrolytic Polishing

Electrolytic polishing basic principle is the same as chemical polishing. Compared with chemical polishing, it can eliminate cathodic reaction, thus has a better effect.
