Polishing Methods and Steps of Auto Glass

The first step - The preparation before glass surface cleaning and glass polishing

A, First of all, we need to make the edge of the glass surrounded, to avoid to dirty cars and the surrounding environment when polishing glass.

B, Please carefully clean the surface of the glass and glass polishing abrasive paper, and make sure there are not any dust, sand and other things.

The second step - Using P120#,  P240#, P400#, P600# glass sandpaper to eliminate glass scratch

A, Please pay attention to the difference of the sandpaper model and daily sandpaper model, and they cannot be used together.

B, Please pour the polishing solution according to the requirement, and a little water needs to be used in proportion of 1:1, but it shall not be more than 1:5, dedicated to the polishing of sandpaper.

C, The scratches need adequate polishing liquid, and sandpaper cannot be used directly on the glass surface for dry grinding at any time .

a. For deep scratches: Firstly, please use P120# glass sandpaper, and then use P240# for the second time; Finally use P600# sandpaper for the last time, in order to make the surface reach the final polishing requirement, and also can omit this directly into the third step.

b. For minor scratches: please use P400# glass sandpaper and then use P600# sandpaper again, in order to make the surface reach the final polishing requirement, and also can omit this directly into the third step.

The third step - Using special polishing wheel for the polishing of the glass

A, Please clean the glass and observe the range of sandpaper, and then use special polishing wheel (it needs the appropriate pressure and the polishing machine tray and the glass surface should be parallel.) for polishing. If there is no polishing machine, it may need manual polishing section for polishing, and note that the moving speed should be not too fast in order to ensure the effect.

B, If the effect is not that good, please repeat the above steps.
