Jade-ware Polishing Procedures

1. Prepare a hanging mill that is similar to a small electric drill, a disc polisher, and vibration polishing machine, which is suitable for polishing in bulk.
2. Prepare a set of diamond mounted points, strip files, and sand paper.
3. Prepare a set of felt mounted points, rubber mounted points, polishing paste, rubber bonded grinding wheel, and brush.
4. Prepare a set of round sand paper and cloth wheel. Polishing powder, polishing paste and polishing wax are required.
5. Prepare a set of diamond files and fixing glue.
6. Prepare certain abrasives from 600# to 1200# for polishing.

Firstly, use power tools to install diamond drill bits to polish jade, and use diamond files for fine polishing. Conduct large area of grinding in order of rough abrasives to fine abrasives. Use round cloth wheel and felt bobs to smear polishing paste. Rubber mounted points can be used to polishing directly. At last, polishing with 1200# abrasives by hand. After polishing process, post adhesive tape onto places that do not require sand blasting.
