The commonly used rolling shaping methods in production for grinding wheel currently are not only time-consuming but laborious when finishing. And diamond particles are easy to fall off in the whole finishing process. The consumption for dressing grinding wheel is very large, but the precision is low.
In recent years, scholars have carried out the special processing method for dressing metal bond diamond grinding wheel. These methods mainly include electrolytic dressing, electric spark dressing, compound dressing, etc. Electrolytic dressing has quick speed, but the precision is not high; Electric spark dressing can get high precision, but the speed is quite slow; The compound dressing includes electrolytic compound dressing, mechanical chemical compound dressing and other methods. Although the dressing effect is good, the system is complex. Therefore, the dressing problem of sintered diamond grinding wheel still has not got very good solutions.
In addition, the manufacturing process of grinding wheel determines that the surface morphology is random. The geometry shape, distribution and the height of cutting edges of abrasive grains are inconsistent, so only a few higher cutting edges can grind artifacts when grinding, which limits the grinding quality and grinding efficiency to be improved further.
