Polishing Workshop Dust Explosion happens frequently in recent period. So it is essential that we know how to prevent it. Generally speaking, there are five conditions that might lead to dust explosion. Explosion precaution consists of two categories: the first is precaution measures, such as sweep away dust frequently to avoid dust cloud formation or make the density lower than explosive density; avoid all kinds of fire origins and inactive gas. The second is once dust explosion occurs, measures to minimized loss shall be taken, for example, explosion suppression, flame-proof, etc.

Precaution measures include:

1. Adopt advanced production technology and raw materials, eliminate or reduce dust, to those cannot meet the standard, respondent dustproof and ventilation measures shall be designed.
2. Replace manual operation by machine and automation and combine production process with ventilation and cleaning measures.
3. Sealing measures. Design proper regional dust removal facility to control dust source and adopt wet working.
4. Reasonable ventilation system that can meet dust prevention requirements.
5. Use air heating, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation workshops. Set in the outdoor air inlets, clean and below the air outlet, for ventilation system with requirements for fire and explosion prevention, the air inlet should be in safe place, there can be no spark splash down, air outlet should be located in outdoor safety. Adjacent intake and exhaust system, in the workplace should be a reasonable layout, avoid short circuit.
6. Air intake blowing rate should be calculated by preventing dust scattering in indoor. It can be adjusted before putting into operation with measured data if convenient.
7. When regional exhaust hood cannot be closed, we should choose suitable umbrella exhaust device based on different operation requirement and technical and economic conditions.
8. In places where explosive dust exists, explosion proof ventilation system or accident exhaust system should be allocated.
9. In addition, medical precaution measures should be noted. Such as anti-dust respirator.
