Along with the progress of the technical level, the aeroengine blades manufacturing has begun using CNC abrasive belt grinding technology instead of traditional way of manual polishing. Using CNC abrasive belt grinding technology for polishing and processing the blade surface, not only improves the working conditions and the processing efficiency , greatly, and enhances the blade surface quality, product consistency and type surface accuracy markedly.

Through technology experiment about aeroengine titanium alloy forging blade edge, the surface roughness is under 0.4 microns, and the contour satisfies the requirement of tolerance ±0.05mm after grinding. Machining precision satisfies the requirements of machining and the surface quality is good, which verify the superiority of abrasive belt grinding technology.
