Application of Super Abrasives in Large Wind-power Blades

Wind energy reserves in China is very large, and the wind-power industry has developed rapidly, becoming the main market of global wind-power except Europe, the United States and India. In the renewable energy development, the technology of wind power in addition to water power, is most mature. From the point of operation effect, wind power has become a leader for the time being.

When wind power technology enters the high-speed development period, blades made of traditional materials used on increasingly large wind turbines, can not meet the requirements, so carbon fibre composite materials with specific strength develop rapidly, whose features are: light weight, high strength, resistance to acid and alkali, easy maintenance, only external painting, local sewing. And it is generally not in need of major repair.

But with the increase of blade size and the change of the materials, there will also be some new problems in the small and medium-sized blades in the production and processing process. The machining tools previously used in wind-power blades apparently do not apply to modern large wind-power blades. Therefore, the application of super abrasives in the processing of large wind-power blade is gradually getting people's attention.
