The application of polishing cotton wheel in metal polishing materials is more widely, which is mainly used for the grinding on the surface of metal coarse products. Polishing cotton wheel is a key factor to obtain ideal polishing flatness and smooth finish.

Polishing process is usually divided into two parts: rough polishing and fine polishing. It doesn’t have no excessive requirements for the flatness of coarse cloth itself. When it is put on the polishing disc, the flatness of polishing disc is a determinant. But at the same time, the hardness of coarse cloth is another key factor in the flatness of polishing. In fact, soft coarse cloth can not get a good flatness of polishing.

Mechanical polishing still mainly relies on manual work to complete, so the polishing technology is still the main reason affecting the quality of polishing. In addition, it is also related with the mould materials, surface condition before polishing, heat treatment, polishing materials and so on.

High quality steel is a prerequisite for good polishing quality. If there are different hardness on the surface of steel materials or there are differences on features, it will be difficult for polishing. All kinds of inclusions in steel materials and pores are not conducive to polishing.
