In Jan. 2015, one of the world's most time-honored manufacturing enterprises, the world's largest glass and building materials manufacturer, as well as global Fortune 500 companies – French Saint Gobain Group witnessed its 350th Anniversary Celebration World Tour Opening Ceremony in Shanghai. Chairman and the CEO of Saint Gobain Abrasives - Pierre-André de Chalendar, president of the Asia-pacific region - Javier Gimeno, French consul general in Shanghai - M. Emmanuel Lenain, and other distinguished guests attended the celebration ceremony, which opens in the four most important markets globally – China, French, America and Brazil. Saint Gobain Group chose Shanghai as the initial tour site, anticipating a stable and promising future in China.
