white fused alumina

In 2014, white fused alumina yield in Henan Province was around 500,000 tons, and the yield in other parts of China was 300,000 tons. In view of yield, the market demand for white fused alumina is considerable.

According to investigation, factory price with tax of sintered alumina made in China is 4,800 Yuan per ton. In technology level, sintered alumina can replace white fused alumina, and it can achieve a better effect in application. White fused alumina is energy-intensive industry, while sintered alumina is technology-based products and it tends to have more advantages in price.

Currently, downstream industries of refractory materials are overcapacity industries. Fixed assents, especially newly built projects, will reduce at a fast speed. At the same time, consumption for refractory materials declines gradually. The major cause is that the steel industry consumes less refractory materials. It is predicted that market demand for China's domestic refractory materials will decline to 24,000,000 tons or so. In this way, demand for bulk refractory materials, such as white fused alumina, will shrink accordingly.

Due to the substantial rise in the price of aluminum oxide in Oct. 2014, the price of white fused alumina has risen by 200 Yuan per ton. After that, the price of raw materials went down a little, the price of white fused alumina also decreased due to increased pressure on market turnover. Currently, white fused alumina (Al2O3) section sand factory price with tax is around 5,000 Yuan to 5,200 Yuan per ton.

According to the entire white aluminum oxide market situation in 2014, the market is not likely to be optimistic till the next year. Influenced by substitutes and national energy-consuming policies, downstream industries have less demand for white fused alumina.
