SuperSilent Saw Blades Turn Woodworking Machines Down 20 Decibels

NAP Gladu's new SuperSilent saw blades have reduced noise levels by 20 decibels - a 75% reduction from the average saw blade, the company says.

It's not a reason to take off your hearing protectors, but it may make you feel a little better if you weren't sure they were working before.  The SuperSilent saw blades feature MicroGeo polycrystalline diamond teeth, which cut through solid woods and laminated core products with a 2mm ultra-thin kerf.  While the blades were designed to slice through wood while keeping noise levels down, NAP Gladu says they also extend tool life.
