The Canadian Machine Tool Dealers Association (CMTDA) hosted their spring meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Sightlines restaurant in the Rogers Centre--home of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The decision to hold the networking event at a baseball game was a departure from past meetings, but the concept was well received by many of the attendees--a number of whom brought family to the event.

The casual affair included a buffet dinner and open bar for the guests while they took in the Blue Jays game. The game also gave visitors plenty to cheer about as the Blue Jays extended a winning streak to seven games by beating the Colorado Rockies 8-3. It may have been dull and drizzly out, but inside at the CMTDA's annual spring meeting, the energy was high and excitement filled the air.

Industry professionals enjoyed a casual night out with friends and family and were treated to a buffet dinner and open bar. And although the Jays were unsuccessful in their sweep against the Yankees, losing 5-3, this year's event was a great time.--iAbrasive report
