Domestic Alumina Prices Going Down in July

In early July, reporters visited some domestic alumina industries and learned  that the prevailed prices of industrial alumina (size: 80-120 mesh; Al2O3≥98.6%).

They are as follows: In Henan, the factory price including tax of industrial alumina is around 1950-2200 yuan/ton; In Shandong, the factory price including tax of industrial alumina is around 2000-2100 yuan/ton. (325 mesh, Al2O3≥99%, conversion rate≥95%) calcined alpha alumina powder is at the price of  3100-3400 yuan/ton in Henan, and in Shandong, it is about 3000-3200 yuan/ton.

On the prices, alpha alumina and industrial alumina prices are reduced around 200, and the reason is that now aluminum hydroxide raw material prices continue to fall in the raw material market, which lowers the production cost of alumina; And some factories reflect that the hoarding phenomenon is serious, which forces many enterprises to reduce the prices in order to achieve the purpose of promoting the quantity.

But after price swings several days ago, industrial alumina and alpha alumina prices remain smoothly now. Recently, however, the soaring prices of non-ferrous plate may stimulate aluminum industry to rise again. Whether alpha alumina prices are still tense in the second half of this year, needs the industry market to prove it. It is suggested that companies should control their costs, and as well stay flexible capital, which is the key to winning.
