3M China West Region Technical Center to Settle in Chengdu

On Mar. 10, 2015, 3M announced its China West Region Technical Center officially settling in Chengdu. Inge G. Thulin, CEO of 3M, and James W. Mc Sheffrey, 3M's president in China, flied to Chengdu and invited Li Kunxue, who is deputy secretary of Chengdu, Gou Zhengli, deputy mayor of Chengdu, Raymond Greene, consul general for the United States at Chengdu, as well as over a hundred guests to witness and celebrate the grand opening ceremony.

With the continuous improvement in regional economy, Chengdu is developing into a strategic development area that combines science and technology, business and trade, medical treatment, finance, transportation, and communication center. favorable location, huge potential market, abundant human resources, and harmonious government policy have formed a solid base for 3M's expansion. 3M has advantages in electronics, medical treatment, auto industry, etc. The foundation of 3M China West Region Technical Center in Chengdu will boost the development of industry chains, and overall economic development of west China.
