Carbon, is the basic element of life on earth, which has a large carbon material family: from ancient graphite and diamond to the newly discovered fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, carbon fiber, graphite and graphite acetylene. Carbon material as the only one that won the two Nobel Prizes (C60, graphene), can almost cover all areas of applications: aerospace, high-speed rail, marine equipment, oil drilling, rail transportation, electronic appliances, chemical machinery, etc. Carbon material is not only the forefront of materials science research, but also the key point of high performance material development and application.

2017 (The Second) China International Carbon Material Conference focuses on key raw materials, technology, equipment, application problems of carbon materials based on China’s "13th Five Year Plan" and "One Belt and One Road" policy, and invites the Government, research institutions, enterprises in the industry, experts, scholars and technicians of equipment manufacturing and third party service agency, to build a high quality communication platform about industry, academia, research and capital, and discuss new technology and new trend of development of carbon materials and carbon materials application bottlenecks, in order to better promote the development of Chinese carbon materials.
