Introduction:
Boron Carbide is a very hard abrasive material with chemical and physical properties similar to diamonds, such as chemical resistance and hardness. Thanks to its extra hardness, Boron carbide is often called „black Diamond“ (It comes third after diamond and boron nitride) and is one of the leading grinding materials.
Application:
1. grinding, lapping and polishing tungsteen carbide and other hard materials such as different types of ceramics, minerals , glasses, etc…
2. hot pressing and sintering of the hard and abrasion resistant parts with super light weight.
3. metallurgical refractory with high corrosion and oxygen resistence.
4. nuclear radiation absorbing materials for nuclear technology.
5. additive for sintering silicon carbide parts and diamond tools.
6. steel modification component with high boron content.
