Xining to Eliminate Backward Capacity-210000 Tons

The backward production capacity that has been listed in elimination catalogue will be shut down; Promoting the low-energy consumption industry for bringing into production and reaching the production as soon as possible; Awards and subsidies to enterprises’ energy saving technical reconstruction...This year, Xining will plan to eliminate backward production capacity of 210000 tons, including silicon carbide, chemical industry, carbon, etc.　

It is understood that this year, Xining will continue to take closing down backward production quickly as the major initiatives of industrial structure adjustment, transformation of economic development pattern and improving the quality and efficiency of economic growth according to the national and provincial industrial policies and the requirements of dissolving excess capacity, to improve enterprises’ equipment and technology level, make land, energy consumption and environmental space for developing advanced productivity.

It plans to eliminate backward technology and equipment of five enterprises this year, and backward production capacity of 210000 tons, including silicon carbide, chemical industry, carbon, etc. The backward production capacity that has been listed in elimination catalogue will be shut down; Promoting the low-energy consumption industry for bringing into production and reaching the production as soon as possible; Awards and subsidies to enterprises’ energy saving technical reconstruction.

It is reported that during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, Xining eliminated 15 enterprises’ backward production lines and technology. Among them, there are 138000 tons backward production capacity of ferroalloy, 100000 tons of cement, 10000 tons of silicon carbide and 170000 tons of steel.
