Synthesis Technology Research on Synthetic Diamond Obtained New Progress

From October 17, 2016 to November 18, six experts from Institute of Superhard Materials in Ukraine Academy of Sciences, will visit Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences, and use large particles of diamond synthesis technology from Ukraine to make synthetic diamond on a press machine from an enterprise in Jixi.

This project is supported by Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences and a new energy enterprise in Jixi. After many tests, they have stably produced monocrystal diamond, and get the desired results.

During the process, they modify diamond single crystal synthesized cavity of LY - 750 press machine according to the technical data from Ukraine, and introduce Ukrainian specially developed control system, cooling system and complete the connection and debugging, to synthesize diamond in the domestic metal alloy solvents.

Now they have successfully and stably synthesized Ib type monocrystalline diamond, and are testing IIa type and IIb type diamond stable growth process. The research and development of this technology has reached the international advanced level, and has obvious technology advantages and good market prospects.

So far, the whole project goes well, which is also a successful case of Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences for domestic enterprises to carry out technical services, and at the same time, lays a solid foundation for the future cooperation with Ukraine in other areas.
