Resin Grinding Wheel Automatic Molding Technology

Compared with common grinding wheels, resin grinding wheels have strong strength, and good grinding performance. However, in the development of resin grinding wheels, the molding technology has been restricted by molding technology. The large-scale production of resin grinding wheels has lots of advantages. In the early of 1980s, the experts had begun to explore the relevant technology. At that time, they imported an automatic molding press machine. The design of that machine is quite compact, and what made it different from ordinary press machines is the feed system.

Its working principles are as follows: put the mixture into the hopper, and mixture will fall on a conveyor belt through vibration. Then, that mixture would be scraped to evenness by a scraper. Following, the transmission speed should be adjusted and the mixture would be sent to weighing hopper. After accurately weighing, the mixture would be input to mold cavity. 

It seems that the design principles can effectively improved productivity, but in fact there is a problem. No matter how you adjust, the mixture cannot be matched with the ideal designed level. Unlike smelting corundum and silicon carbide, the requirement on feed of grinding wheel is relatively high. While it has great difficulties in accurately weighing feed through conveyor belt. To guarantee the accuracy, it is essential to repeat the weighing, which wastes lots of time inversely. Now, most grinding manufacturers adopt a compromise. They bypass the complicated feed systems, and choose to feed by labor with multi-station press machines. Correspondingly, the work intensity reduced and the productivity can be guaranteed at the same time. 

Now the ideal feed system remains to be improved and developed. Once this technology is mature, resin grinding wheels will be produced efficiently, which is bound to bring a new revolution to resin grinding wheel market.
