In the process of ultra-high speed grinding and processing of CNC grinding machines, and under the condition of keeping other parameters constant, if it greatly improves the speed of grinding wheels, the  number of grinding grains per unit time will increase, and each chip thickness will decrease, so the ultra-high speed grinding of CNC grinding machines will make the cutting thickness of each abrasive thinning. This leads to the decrease of grinding force of each abrasive grain greatly, so the total grinding force will also be greatly reduced.

Because of the ultra-high speed grinding and cutting of CNC grinding machines, it will be a very short travel time for a single chip.  There are great difference between the high strain rate of grindings completed within a very short time and ordinary grinding process, which is characterized by the elastic deformation layer of the workpiece surface that becomes shallow. In the process of grindings, its distance of plough and row is smaller, the tendency of the workpiece surface hardening and the residual stress is smaller.

In addition, the movement speed of abrasive grains in the grinding zone and the feed speed of workpieces are both greatly accelerated when ultra-high grinding and cutting , and plus the influence of temperature and strain rate, it can make the surface grinding temperature of workpieces reduced, thus , it can leapfrog the area of grinding burn, and expand the application range of the grinding process parameters.
