Norton BlueFire Flap Discs, Fiber Discs and File Belts in Convenient Packaging

Saint-Gobain Abrasives, the world’s largest abrasives manufacturer, has recently introduced a new family of products - Norton BlueFire Flap Discs, Fiber Discs and File Belts available in smaller package quantities ideal for vending and MRO use.

Norton BlueFire discs and belts feature a new proprietary zirconia alumina grain which provides higher material removal rates and significantly longer life for use on a wide range of materials and applications.

“The new BlueFire flap discs, fiber discs and file belts are used in the metal fabrication, energy and welding sectors in high pressure applications for maximum productivity on stainless steel, super alloys, steel and cast iron. The unique micro-structure, optimal chemistry and superior process controls result in up to 30 percent longer life over conventional zirconia products. These discs and rolls are made in coarse grit sizes, with discs available in 36 through 80 grits and belts available in 60 through 120 grits for optimal stock removal,” says Patrick Carroll, Product Manager for MRO products. “Performance mapping tests show the new line to be superior in both rate of metal removal and life of the product. The small package quantities are adaptable for vending and low quantity orders and minimize inventories, reduce consumption and increase productivity. Norton BlueFire flap discs, fiber discs and file belts are made in controlled operations to ensure the highest quality, uniformity and consistency. This line of Norton BlueFire discs and belts used for roughing complements the Norton Non-Woven line of Norton Rapid Strip and Rapid Finish discs used for finishing in right angle grinding applications.
