New Royal Asscher Luxury Line Uses Synthetic Diamonds

Until now, most of the synthetic diamond production has gone towards industrial uses, as high-end jewelry manufacturers have shied away from utilizing them, for fear of diluting the power of their brand. But now a leading diamond jewelry manufacturer has courageously launched a luxury line of jewelry which features the man-made stones, Diamond World reports.

Royal Asscher is rolling out its new Rebel Chique brand of polished diamond jewelry, using synthetic gems, emphasizing that the diamond's appeal is not strictly tied to the way that it has been historically mined from the ground, but can be held in awe on its own merit, as a fashion accessory that is a beautiful refractor of light.

By inserting the word 'rebel' in the brand name, Royal Asscher hopes to put a positive spin on the decision to part ways with traditional purchasing decisions and appeal to a younger generation, according to Diamond World.
