Nano-diamond Embedded in Contact Lenses

The People’s Daily Overseas Edition reported that recently researchers in University of California, USA discovered a new drug-transmitting system which can be used to cure glaucoma via nano-diamond embedded in contact lenses to carry the drug. Researchers combined the drug with nano-diamond, when drug contacts with lysozyme in lacrimal fluid, it will act on eyeball. According to researchers, this method is helpful in drug transmitting; besides, diamond keeps contact lenses more durable during the process of drug transmitting.
