Inadequate Domestic Developing of High-End Abrasive Products

The development of domestic hardware bearing industry manufacturing processes and process equipment is slow; the rate of CNC lathe is low, and the automatic of grinding is low. There are just 200 automatic production lines in the whole country. 

Most of hardware bearing producing enterprises, especially the state-owned enterprises are still using traditional devices. The proportion utilization of advanced heat processing technology and equipment is low, while that technology and devices play vital roles in bearing life and reliability, such as controlled atmosphere to protect the heating, double refine, and bainite hardening. Many technical problems wait to be solved. 

The development of new bearing steel, the improvement of steel quality and the relevant technology, such as lubrication, cooling, cleaning and abrasives and abrasive products cannot meet the high requirements of products level and quality. Therefore, the process capability index is low, the consistency is poor, and the dispersion of product size in processing is large, and the inherent quality of product is not stable which have impacted on the accuracy, performance, life and reliability of the bearings.

The overall development is relatively slow, and enterprises have not invested enough in the research and development of high-end abrasive products. Both of them make excellent bearing processing and manufacturing firms have to choose similar foreign products. Therefore, abrasives manufacturers have lost a large part of customers. What was worse, the poor communication between bearing enterprises and abrasives manufacturers make the gap increase gradually.
