Export Situation of Chinese Silicon Carbide in May

According to the latest statistics of China customs, the export volume of Chinese silicon carbide is about 30000 tons in May, with year-on-year increase of 20%. In the first five months of 2016, the total export volume is about 134000 tons, with 7.1% decline on year-on-year basis.

In May, foreign customers still calmly purchase silicon carbide. This on-demand purchase makes Chinese exports of silicon carbide in May and April not changed. After the Spring Festival, domestic silicon carbide manufacturers actively explore foreign markets. Due to the excess of domestic production, foreign demand is quite stable, but the FOB of China's silicon carbide declines.

Over the past three months, silicon carbide exports remain stable. But in June, foreign black silicon carbide has been on a weaker note. It is expected that the export volume of silicon carbide in June will break the stability for nearly three months, coming with a state of decline.

In May, Chinese silicon carbide exported to United States about 9000 tons, with an increase of 84.4% than last month, and year-on-year increase of 21.9%, and exported to Japan about 5700 tons, with a decline of 5% than last month, and year-on-year increase of 8%.
