CHENNAI: The 11th International Machine Tools Exhibition, a five-day event organised by ACMEE 2014, concluded on June 23 at the Chennai Trade Centre.

According to iAbrasive latest report, CHENNAI: The 11th International Machine Tools Exhibition, a five-day event organised by ACMEE 2014, concluded on June 23 at the Chennai Trade Centre.

The event had participants from 450 companies, including 120 from 25 countries. Korea and Taiwan had country pavilions. Machine tool manufacturers from Japan covered more than 11 per cent of total exhibition space, featuring their latest machines.

The participants presented the latest machines used in manufacturing, such as CNC grinder, industrial robotics and power saving solutions. Japanese giant, Faunc introduced an operating software in Tamil.

Technical sessions were also organised by the participants in the event, which had more than 43,000 visitors. The participants were delighted with the business contacts developed by them and about the scope for generating more business, according to Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association, the organisers.  Many have already made advanced booking for the next edition of ACMEE, which is to be held in 2016, the organisers added.

Ashok K Agarwal, general manager and chief guest at the valedictory function, appreciated the efforts of the office-bearers of AIEMA in organising the event. He also urged the entrepreneurs to improve their product profile so that they could be banked upon by ICF for sourcing their requirements. Agarwal formally launched ACMEE 2016, which is to be held from June 16 to June 20.
