Energy Consumption Standard Seminar of Corundum and Mullite Held in Kaifeng

On June 8, 2015, Energy consumption standard seminar of corundum and mullite was held in Kaifeng. The seminar was presided by the deputy director, Qiu Jinhui of Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute. Chen Peng, the secretary-general of Abrasives Branch of China Machine Tools Industry Association, the vice secretary genera Zhou Jinlong, the executive vice President Xu Dianli of China's Refractories Industry Association, the chairman Cheng Niansheng, Refractories Association of Guizhou, attended the seminar. Corundum and refractories industry from the whole country that is mainly responsible for drafting units, attended the seminar.

"Limitation of Energy Consumption per Unit of Corundum" national standards, and “limitation of energy consumption per unit of Mullite” national standards issued, the drafting group has been formed mainly made of enterprises, industry associations, scientific research institutions, colleges and universities. The seminar made the serious discussion about the scope of two standards, terms and definitions, related technical requirements, scope of statistics and calculation methods, energy conservation and management measures. Qiu JinHui, the deputy director gave the resolution in detail to the terms that people have different opinions about in the standards.

Through careful discussion, people present at the meeting give the standards certain scientific nature, the feasibility and applicability in principle. After the meeting, each unit will give opinions and related information to the director Qiu of standard institute, for further comment.

"Limitation of Energy Consumption per Unit of Corundum”national standard is made according to the national standard committee comprehensive [2014] No. 51, and Jiangsu Jingxin New Materials Co., Ltd., Information Standards Institute of Metallurgy Industry, Refractories Industry Association of Henan, Abrasives Branch of China Machine Tools Industry Association should be responsible for drafting. Domestic main and influential corundum production enterprises and institutions also participated in the drafting. This standard is to carry out the spirit of "dissolve excess capacity contradictions" standards supporting project of the State Council.
