EMO Hannover 2017: The World of Metalworking

EMO Hannover 2017 is not only a leading professional exhibition in the metal processing industry, but also an important indicator of technology trends and innovation in the field of production technology. It will be held at Hannover Exhibition Center, Germany, during September 18-23, 2017, and will focus on the key link in industrial production operation---the whole process of modern metal processing technology.

It is learned that there are more than 1850 enterprises from 42 countries and regions that have decided to attend this exhibition by the end of January. Among 450 exhibitors in Asia, nearly 110 Chinese companies are included. The exhibition categories include tools & abrasives products, accessories, measuring equipment, processing center, lathes, etc.

Chinese exhibitors in EMO are always a concern, which is closely related with China's huge machine production capacity and consumption demand. According to data from German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, China produced lathes about 16.6 billion Euros in 2015, and exported to Germany about 136 million Euros of machine tools and spare parts.

Over the same period, China machine tool consumption reached nearly 22 billion Euros, and the needed equipment accounted for more than a third of imports, more than 7.7 billion Euros.

"For China, high-tech machines are necessary in improving international competitiveness of products and promoting the modernization of products." General manager, Dr Fisher of German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, says that EMO 2017 viewing "interconnected system to promote the production of intelligence" as the theme, can not only let Chinese manufacturers obtain a new solution about the production and operation in Germany, but also provide excellent information platform for China's industrial customers’capital investment.
