Diamond Innovations to Shut Dublin Plant

Diamond Innovations, a subsidiary of Sandvik, is to shut its Dublin operation with the loss of 79 jobs. The Dublin plant has been in operation since 1981 and expects to wind down operations by September of 2013.

Sandvik AB specialises in materials technology and produces tools for metal cutting and for the mining and construction industries, as well as stainless materials, special alloys, metallic and ceramic resistance materials and process systems.

Sandvik plans to consolidate its operations at its plant in Worthington, Ohio, USA.
