How to Use Polishing Wheel Properly

Polishing wheel is an important tool for the polishing application of workpieces. It can achieve the best polishing effects when being used in concert with the polishing wax.

However, some problems will occur during the polishing process due to the inappropriate choice of polishing materials or operation methods. In the following, the article is to introduce what should we notice and how to effectively use polishing wheel.

Firstly, the rotation direction of polishing wheel should toward the operator. During the rotation, polishing wax should be attached on the edge of the polishing wheel, then put the workpiece near the surface of wheel and ensure the workpiece is under the water level of the polishing wheel’s central shaft. 

In addition, workers should also ensure the stress direction imposed on the workpiece is towards themselves to avoid the polishing wheel being tossed out from the hands. Generally, the choice of polishing material is also important, and different materials are suitable for the polishing of different workpieces.
