The Personal Safety and Abrasive Systems divisions of diversified technology company 3M are joining forces for leading manufacturing exhibition MACH 2014, held between 7-11 April at the NEC in Birmingham.
Together the two divisions will showcase a range of products that work in synergy to maximise results when used in a welding environment. Whether it be an abrasive wheel or a welding helmet, the overall theme of the stand will be to focus on three key shared benefits of the 3M solution: results, speed and safety.
The Abrasive Systems Division of 3M will be presenting various products that have never before been seen at MACH, including its advanced Cubitron II Range which utilises a unique precision shaped ceramic abrasive technology, as well Scotch-Brite Non-Woven Abrasives.
These will be accompanied by a broad range of Speedglas Welding Helmets and the recently launched next generation Adflo Powered Air Respirator from the 3M Personal Safety Division.
More than 21,000 people are expected to visit MACH, and visitors to the 3M stand will have a chance to win the “The Welder’s Dream Prize” worth more than £2,000.
This essential kit will include a range of premium abrasive products such as Cubitron II Fibre Discs and Cut Off Wheels, as well as a top-of-the-range Speedglas Welding Helmet 9100FX by 3M with Adflo Powered Air Respirator by 3M.
As well as the wide range of products on offer, technical experts from both of the divisions will be on hand to offer advice to attendees. There will also be the opportunity to get hands-on with the products and a chance to try on a wide range of welding helmets.
Dave Atherton, Senior Marketing Executive from 3M Abrasive Systems said: “The purpose of these two divisions coming together for MACH 2014 is to illustrate the total solutions offer you receive when partnering 3M. We are known for our significant contribution to innovation and never stop inventing useful items that are backed by a wealth of expertise and technical support, making them more than just products. At MACH we aim to offer the manufacturing industry a taste of the 3M experience.”
