Diamond cup wheels with segmented or half-segmented bands are used primarily on straight-line and double edging machines for aggressive stock removal. Ideal for laminated glass to prevent clogging of the wheels with the laminate plastic residues. Grit selection is generally between 80-140 (D181 to D126 FEPA Norm)and 170-230 (D91 to D64). The number of grinding spindles available determines the range of glass thicknesses which can be processed. Profile created is either flat, flat with two arrisses or flat with chamfer and single arriss. Available for use on a wide range of glass processing machinery (please see table of manufacturers above).
