EPOXY Grinding Wheels

What is an EPOXY Grinding Wheel?

EPOXY Grinding Wheels are developed to supplement RESINOID grinding wheels, and

uses BISPHENOL A and F EPOXY RESIN as bond. Initially used in grinding knives, scissors,

or saws, the wheels are now used in grinding mechanical components, such as bearing

cases, washers, valve plates, CON-RODs, and joints. The bond is also used as substitute for

VITRIFIDE and CBN/DIA.

Characteristics of EPOXY Grinding Wheels

① The epoxy wheels are suitable in grinding heat sensitive materials, for the bonding material, epoxy, is elastic material

   that creates less heat and contacts well with the work pieces.

② The grinding wheel is stable with less aging characteristics.

   The wheels are also safer for its high resistance to shock and no internal stress.

③ The wheels are suitable for high speed rotation grinding. The bond, epoxy, causes no corrosion or rust,

   thus can stabilize life cycle of the machinery.

④ Wide working range and superior cutting force during heavy or light grinding, thanks to less heat damage and clogging.

   Less dressing maximizes efficiency of grinding.

⑤ Small axial load thanks to the light weight of the grinding wheels. The wheel also contaminates less amount of grinding fluid,

   creating less water waste.

⑥ Can be used in fine grinding that requires fine and flat surface. The pores are also adjustable.

⑦ Short production time enables minimal amount of payment and easy emergency replacement.
