Sparky Abrasives was founded in 1967. Leaders Manufacturing acquired Sparky Abrasives in March of 2007. At that time, all manufacturing and warehouse functions were moved from Minneapolis, MN to Willmar, MN. In October of 2008, the sales functions were also relocated to Willmar, so all operations could be conducted under one roof.
Leaders Manufacturing is a convertor and manufacturer of a wide range of abrasive products. Leaders plans to continue manufacturing and expanding the Sparky brand of abrasives and is committed to increasing value to our customers by providing new and improved products. We manufacture many of our products right in our Willmar plant including flap discs, sanding belts, surface conditioning belts, surface conditioning discs, and some grinding wheels. We use many outside vendors to help fulfill our orders including, but not limited to; Anderson Products, Camel Grinding Wheels, Falcon Abrasives, Gemtex Abrasives, Global Abrasive Products, Keystone Abrasives, Koltec USA, Luna Abrasives, Marvel Abrasives, Modern Abrasive Corp., Monster Tool, SIA Abrasives, Superior Abrasives and others.
