ESK-SIC GmbH was founded in 1998 as a 100 % subsidiary of Elektroschmelzwerk Kempten GmbH within the Wacker-Chemie Group. In the course of a Management Buy Out the ESK-SIC GmbH operates as an independent society since 2001. With 75 years experience in manufacturing silicon carbide, we are not only the most important manufacturer of this material in Europe, but also have one of the longest traditions.
ESK-SIC GmbH and its supplier Kollo Silicon Carbide B. V. Are the only producer in the world manufacturing silicon carbide by a unique environmentally compatible technology. This is typical of how we set new standards.
