Company Introduction

H.C Grossman Ltd commenced business in 1954 and became Grossman Agencies when purchased by the current

family owner in 1964. It remains a wholly kiwi owned company and has prospered due to dedicated customer focus and traditional ingenuity. Initially an importer and specialist tool supplier the company held and still holds the TYROLIT abrasive agency. The company continued to grow and expand its range of abrasives adding the agencies of Deer sanding (coated) and Olympus reinforced products.

The acquisition in 1998 of W.R Twigg (established in 1895) added a specialist valve and fittings division. The Titon (brass fittings) distributorship and the agencies of Ham-Let (Let-Lok) high-pressure brass and stainless valves and fittings and Nitto hi-couplas.

Most recently purchased in 1999 Engineering Supplies Auckland established in 1987 which added the engineering hand tools range and trade consumables range of products to the company.

The company trades as Grossman Twigg Engineering Supplies from a modern warehouse/trade shop in Manukau, Auckland employing 14 staff and distributing products throughout New Zealand. The Company is the original TradeZone member and a current shareholder of the TradeZone Industrial Group which runs the Caliper trade tool promotions.

Grossmans carry an extensive range of products to suit most trades. In addition we offer a procure service for products not available ex stock. Through our combined experience we can identify and assist with selecting the right product.
