Company Introduction

Rebuff was established in 1974 in Isando Johannesburg as a manufacturer and supplier of high quality buffing and abrasive products to the metal finishing industry.

The rapid growth in demand from industry for its products necessitated a strategic opening of a second factory in Seshego, Polokwane, enabling the company to expand its product range to include:

Full Leaf Buffs produced in a variety of Cotton and Sisal.
Air Flow and Impregnated Buffs.
Coated Abrasive Conversion Products.

Non–Woven Abrasives.
Polishing Compounds.

In close association with the abrasive manufacturing sector the range of products was expanded to include coated and bonded abrasive products such as:

Cutting and Grinding wheels.
Sanding belts and Reflex Wheels.
Resin Fibre Discs and Lamelle flap discs.
Handy rolls.

Very early on Rebuff formed a partnership with a leading German buff manufacturing company which has enabled Rebuff to keep up with, and incorporate the very latest technology in its manufacturing processes.

The company has for many years exported to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, UK, Canada, Far East and throughout the African Continent.

With effect from 01 June 2009 Rebuff became wholly black owned company.

Training is a critical part of the company’s success, where the employees receive on the job training for their own development and the maintenance of high levels of skill. The Clothing, Textile, Footwear and Leather SETA has accredited Rebuff to offer its employees and the community, Learnerships on Buff Construction at NQF level 2.
