Detailed Product Description

FAMOUS Engineers developed advanced HPHT ( High Pressure High Temperature ) technology to synthesize diamond in a controlled rapid manner. PDG product provide broad range of crystal surface topographic, crystal friability, crystal shape, and consistency to assist customers to select for their particle application to  maximum the wheel performance and life. The product price performance ratio is widely recognized by our many customers.

For the diamond for the resin bond series, we call them PDG series.

FAMOUS PDG Resin Bond Diamond series have both multi-fine-crystalline or monocrystalline. Those crystals are widely used for manufacturing resin bond diamond grinding wheel. Multicrystalline diamond grain is composed of subcrystals with mosaic structure that provides the grain with irregular shapes and tortuous surface. All these lay the foundation for tool makers to produce the wheels delivering high efficiency, long life time and perfect surface performance.

Firstly, multi-fine-crystalline provide self-sharpening cutting edges. The fine-sub-grain tends to fracture along their boundary under a critical cutting force, and then is left one or several sharp edges. The process will continue until the whole grain is worn out. As a result, The grinding wheels with this type of crystals exhibits the excellent free cutting, high removal rate, and long life.

Secondly, the consistent friability of those crystals prevents workpiece from scratch or burn, and it also decreases inner grinding stress of the surface of parts processed considerably. Thirdly, tortuous surface of those crystals acts a techanical interlock in the resin bond, that enhances the crystal retention in wheels.
