The Norton A290 GOLD No-Fil open-coat abrasive disc is coated with No-Fil stearate for more durability over an uncoated abrasive while resisting chip loading. The heavy-duty backing resists edge tearing. This combination of heavy backing, open coat, and stearate coating is useful for soldered and welded areas, as well as all other dry metal finishing operations.
