Introduction:
Zirconia Alumina is a bluish grey colored ultra-rugged synthetic abrasive obtained from the fusion of zircon sand, zirconia ore and alumina in electric arc furnace at high temperature followed by cooling. The whole process is basically a melting recrystallization process. It is a eutectic aggregate comprised of aluminum oxide and zirconium dioxide. It has large fracture planes and is a sharper, blockier grain than aluminum oxide.
Application:
Zirconia Alumina can be used in high speed heavy duty grinding; cast iron, cast steel, alloy steel and high speed steel snagging; and particularly for grinding titanium alloy, heat-resisting alloy steel, high molybdenum steel and stainless steel, etc.
